Representative Doug Collins (Republican of Georgia) has just announced that he is being quarantined after a photo appears showing him in close contact with a CPAC assistant who tested positive for coronavirus.
Collins joins Ted Cruz and representative Paul Gosar (Republican from Arizona), also in quarantine after meeting an unidentified individual.
The terrifying part is the key: the participants in the White House were also at the CPAC and may have interacted with this man. Collins was also with Trump on Friday when he visited the CDC. Please, pray.
Collins said in a statement: “This afternoon, the CPAC informed me that they had discovered a picture of me and the patient who tested positive for # COVID19. While I feel completely healthy and have no symptoms, I decided to quarantine my home for the rest of the 14-day period as a precaution. ”
“I will follow the recommendations of the home doctor and my office will provide the appropriate updates.”
Law and crime:
Representative Doug Collins (Republican of Georgia) was with President Donald Trump for a visit to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) headquarters on Friday. It is now Monday and Collins has announced that he has been quarantined after being informed of being in a photo with the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in which he participated to have tested positive for the coronavirus …
… Collins follows the example of other republican legislators: sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and representative Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Who also had meetings with the unidentified CPAC assistant.
Specifically, Collins shook hands with the president on Friday.
CPAC President Matt Schlapp also interacted with that aide and shook Trump’s hand. It is unclear whether the handshake occurred before or after Schlapp had “accidental contact with [the assistant], very briefly”.
